On Wednesday 6th July the year 6 dodgeball team represented Bolton in the Greater Manchester Games. After enjoying the opening ceremony with the Year 3/4 tennis team, the teams went to their different venues. The dodgeball team played brilliantly and qualified for the semi-final after 27 games! At the end of full time it was a draw so it went to sudden death which unfortunately we lost. We drew in the 3rd/4th place play off and won during sudden death to come 3rd overall in Greater Manchester. Well done to the team and thanks to the parents for their support.

On Thursday the cricket team played in the Bolton Kwik Cricket Festival. The team earned their place by winning the Horwich and Blackrod Cluster Tourbament. The first match was against Bishop Bridgeman and we unfortunately lost the match by a few runs.  The team pulled themselves together and played brilliantly against Egerton and St James’ Daisy Hill, winning both matches easily. Unfortunately we did not qualify for the final as we drew on points with Egerton but they had 11 more runs.
Thanks to all the parents for their support and tips!
